Once again, Les Musicales de Baabdath are spreading their share of hope through a series of free classical music concerts.

This season’s face-to-face performances are open to all music lovers to discover a rich and eclectic repertoire with guest musicians from Austria, Germany, Denmark, Armenia and of course Lebanon. The Lebanese cellist Jana Semaan will open the season in Baabdath, on October 23, alongside the renowned Austrian ‘Stratos Quartet’ thanks to the support of the Austrian Embassy in Lebanon.

With the support of Goethe-Institut Libanon, four members of DSO Berlin (Deutsches Symphonie-Orchester Berlin) will perform in Baabdath on October 27.

Pursuing further their endeavor to come to the assistance of the Lebanese National Conservatory of Music, Les Musicales de Baabdath is providing 10 students with the opportunity to enrich their learning through a chamber music mentorship program delivered by the German musicians in a collaborative project funded and co-organized by Goethe-Institut Libanon. The students of the Lebanese National Conservatory of Music will be offered stage visibility at a concert by the same name of the 2021 season, ‘Strings of Hope’, on October 30 in Baabdath.

Pianist Hayk Melikyan – Honorary Artist of Armenia, will perform with the Lebanese Philharmonic Orchestra under the baton of Maestro Michel Kheirallah at St. Joseph’s Church in Monot Street on November 4th. On November 11, the Lebanese-Ukrainian pianist Tatiana Primak Khoury presents a piano recital in Baabdath, compliments of Banque Bemo. On November 18, world-renowned recorder player the Danish Michala Petri accompanied on the guitar by Lars Hannibal, will perform at St. Elias Church – Kantari area, thanks to the support of the Embassy of Denmark in Beirut.

Wissam Boustany will close the season in Baabdath on November 25 with Tatiana Primak Khoury on the piano thanks the support of the Swedish Embassy.

In support of Les Musicales de Baabdath, Nadine Fayad Art Gallery is proposing to the audience a selection of paintings by Raouf Rifai. The works will be on display in Baabdath at the space allocated for the concerts.

Les Musicales de Baabdath would like, again, to express their gratitude to all their sponsors and donors from Baabdath and from outside, without whom this new season would not have been possible.

All concerts are face-to-face only and will take start at 8 p.m. sharp. Entrance is free and without reservation. Performances in Baabdath will take place at the new church of the Maronite Parish.

Due to the reduced concert space and health safety measures, guests will be required to wear a facemask during the concerts.
