The Oriental Fashion Show, the first international platform dedicated to couture and oriental fashion based in Paris, has chosen the city of Marrakech for its 37th edition which will be held on June 18 and 19 under the sign of the promotion of Moroccan tourist heritage, we learn from its founder the Franco-Moroccan Hind Joudar.
In 15 years, the Oriental Fashion Show (OFS) has won the recognition of major fashion capitals. After Paris, London, Dubai, Istanbul, Moscow or Baku, it is Marrakech’s turn to host the fashion shows of international designers, underlines the OFS team in a press release sent to the MAP. “At a time when the world is idling; At a time when Fashion shows are becoming increasingly rare, the Oriental Fashion Show intends to perpetuate its event and honor its loyal stylists who, despite this difficult period, have never stopped creating and innovating ” , affirms the same source, adding that “this 37th edition of the OFS will defend the colors of cultural diversity under the signs of rebirth and magnificence”, and this in accordance with the cosmopolitan tradition of the event.
The 2021 edition of the OFS will also be marked by a posthumous tribute to the memory of Mohamed Al Sagheer, nicknamed the master hairdresser of Cairo, an important member of the organizational staff of this fashion event, carried away by the Covid-19. Among the Egyptian delegation, the OFS announces the great designer Hany El Behairy and the famous actresses Laila Eloui and Elham Shahin, as well as other distinguished guests such as the Turkish actors Selim Bayraktar, alias Sümbül (Harem Sultan) and Emel Karakoze , in addition to Moroccan celebrities like Dounia Boutazoute, Mansour Badri and Camélia Rak. “By settling down at the Mandarin Oriental, Marrakech is entering a new era which places the city in the lineage of the great fashion capitals.
