Each opus highlights an exceptional raw ingredient expressed with the creativity that has driven our House since the very beginning and forms a suite of fragrances with rare sillages.
For this new creation, our Master Perfumer Thierry Wasser was searching for an exceptional ylang essence with a particularly expressive character. He discovered it in situ in the Comoros archipelago in the Indian Ocean. This olfactory selection reflects our traditional standards of excellence in terms of preserving natural origin ingredients. This incredible yellow gold, extracted from the so-called “flower of flowers”, is vertical and powerful. It contains exotic fruity facets with smooth, honeyed accents.
The fact remains that despite its wealth of tones and its presence in eminent bouquets, ylangylang had only rarely played the leading role or been given star billing in a fragrance. With EMBRUNS D’YLANG, a spicy and luminous floral, we discover its bespoke attire, without losing any of its volcanic temperament. The fragrance evokes the bracing sea spray carried by a stormy sky onto a flower that is idyllic and enchanting in equal measure. Among its contrasts, between idealised land and sea, we also note effects subdued by an interweaving of woody and salty notes, subtly teased by a hint of clove. A dazzling, sensual perfume with a sillage as captivating as a ray of sunlight filtering through a menacing horizon.
