“Beirut the Sea Lover “(as Samir Kassir called it in his book” The History of Beirut “)
A presentation featuring 3D Mapping projection with various technical influences of picture, voice and light. This show blends with a concert celebrating the Lebanese song and praising the city of Beirut
1- Venue: Roman Baths in Downtown Beirut
2- Duration: 60 minutes
3 – Subject: Architecture (historical and contemporary) and its relationship to Beirut’s human civilization memory
A- Details of the presentation 3D Mapping projection
The presentation includes a scene about the beginnings of Beirut’s architecture and the relationship that connects it to the sea and consequently to the person of this city. The scenery moves from the beginnings to the urban renaissance, to the small luxury island it became, and then to the city of pain and the end of the innocence, until it has been reconstructed from scratch.
The question remains: Which city will it be? And which role will keep Beirut the jewel of the Arab world and the region, and the continuous hope for the future youth.
The show will be implemented with the latest modern technologies in the world in terms of sound and light and image. The Roman Baths will be converted to a festive scenery that will revive the center of the city from the Serail to the Parliament, during several nights. The “Spring Festival of Beirut” will celebrate the city of culture and fine art.
B) The concert:
Some of the best young singers will sing (in a new and contemporary distribution) the most famous songs that mimic the city of Beirut, such as “Ya Mina Al Habayeb”, “Allo Beirut”, “Ya Tramway Beirut”, “Tut Tut Beirut” “ Ishtaknalik Beirut “, etc.
The concert concludes with the Lebanese national anthem.
