On the occasion of the Ten years anniversary of “La Revue Diplomatique” issued by the Lebanese Ambassadors Forum, a press conference was held at the headquarters of the Lebanese Ambassadors Forum in Tayouneh, attended by Editors’ Syndicate Mr. Elias Aoun and ambassadors, media and social figures. Ambassador Dr. Khalil Khalil Makkawi, President of the Lebanese Ambassadors Forum, welcomed the audience and said: “The Lebanese Ambassadors’ Forum was established in 1997 and currently includes more than 120 Lebanese retired ambassadors, who have devoted their lives defending Lebanon. Since its establishment, the Forum has achieved many goals, including the publication of “La Revue Diplomatique”, which is today at the forefront of specialized diplomatic and international relations in the Arab region.”Editor-in-Chief of the “La Revue Diplomatique”, Dr. Assem Jaber added: “The Lebanese Ministry of Information, under Science and News No. 857/2007 dated 29 November 2007, granted the Lebanese Ambassadors Forum a license to issue a quarterly non-political publication in Arabic, French and English (both simultaneously and within one issue), specializing in the diplomatic corps and its prospects in the name of “Diplomacy”. The forum’s administrative board has set two basic goals for the Diplomatic magazine: First, to protect the experiences of retired Lebanese ambassadors in the service of Lebanon and its international relations, and secondly to be a platform for diplomatic thought, of Lebanese, Arab and foreign ambassadors. In 2018, A contract was signed with Mr. Antoun Faddoul, who started publishing the magazine as of issue No. 42, that was published in May 2018, with the help of a group of media and administrators, among them Ambassador Assem Jaber and Responsible Director Mrs. Rita Mansour.The Publisher of the new magazine and its Editor, Mr. Antoun Faddoul, stressed that “The Forum of Ambassadors of Lebanon establishes a new stage in the diplomatic journal and paints a more objective framework and a deeper and more comprehensive path. He thanked all the media that accompanied the magazine and paid tribute to the soul of the former Secretary-General of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Fouad Al-Turk, who will accompany the team from above after the new launching. A cocktail followed the press conference, Goodies’s very generous and friendly team happily served savory salted canapés, delightful desserts and a wide variety of refreshing freshly squeezed juices.
